We’re Hiring – Senior Business Analyst

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join Polaris to help facilitate and drive projects that impact the general insurance industry.

You will have experience of working in the general insurance industry, ideally on projects around digital trading in the broker channel, having a good understanding of the key challenges that are likely to impact on trading insurance digitally in the UK. This background will give you the basis for working on activities that can help shape how the insurance market works more effectively.

If you have at least 5 years of Business Analyst experience in the Insurance industry, enjoy dealing with a range of internal and external customers and suppliers, can follow, design and iterate business processes, suggest improvements, communicate well and positively embrace technology and digital terminology, then you could be well suited to this role and the work that we do in Polaris.

About Polaris

Polaris is an insurer and broker owned organisation dedicated to driving forward the digital insurance standards, capability and infrastructure for the benefit of commercial and personal lines customers.

Polaris has three core products designed to help the general insurance market develop and deliver digital insurance products and e-trading capability:

    ● ProductWriter, an insurance product definition tool and rating engine used by over two thirds of the UK general insurance market to write personal and commercial lines business;
    ● imarket, the commercial insurance digital trading portal that enables secure connectivity between broker and insurer systems and is used by over 2000 brokers;
    ● Digital trading Standards, including business process models and data standards that act as a common “language” for the UK general insurance industry.

Working for Polaris

There are 20 members of staff in Polaris and this role will work across all the product lines on key industry projects. We have an office based in the City of London, and currently work to a 2 days in office, 2 days WFH and 1 day flexible based on business demand approach. We stay connected with each other and with our clients, so you would be working in a supportive team based environment with a strong emphasis on learning and development.
