ProductWriter FAQs

Many products can be written, covering a wide range of insurance classes including motor, household, pet, accident, sickness and health, vehicle breakdown, legal expenses, shops, offices, property owners, commercial combined and commercial vehicle.

To date, due to the flexibility of the ProductWriter suite, there has not been a product class that could not be catered for, as ProductWriter can support bespoke or unique data items (or class of business).

There are training courses available which teach the basic skills required to write an insurance product using the ProductWriter Toolset. There are also consultancy services available for ProductWriter, the RTE (Runtime Environment) and the DET (Dictionary Extension Toolset) if you don’t have the resources internally to write your own products.

ProductWriter Toolset

The toolset is available as SaaS (software as a service) in the cloud.

Runtime Environment (RTE)

The Polaris RTE allows an integrator to deploy a ProductWriter product using a Windows-based infrastructure.

It is a .NET service with a Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) interface.
The service can easily be hosted within an Internet Information Service (IIS) or as a Windows service.
