Venus 2 Degasser

The Venus 2 Degasser uses a combination of vacuum and ultrasound to degas small volumes of reagent up to 1 litre (standard size is 250ml). This is done within a glass bottle that can be removed and capped for storage and later use. In this way none of the liquid is passed through long tubes where loss of the fluid and contamination is inevitable. The system includes a timer and several modes of operation so that the degassing procedure can be optimised for your protocols. Note that this is a true degassing system where the gases are removed from the reagent, not a sparging system where the gases in the reagent or simply replaced with some other gas such as helium.

Venus 1 Degasser

The Venus 1 Degasser is an earlier model than the Venus 2 that replaced it. The Venus 1 was discontinued since some of the component parts were discontinued but the principle is the same. The Venus 1 also has a remote control socket to release the vacuum while reagent is aspirated from the bottle.

We have available ONE ONLY that was recovered from a company that went into liquidation. This unit was not used for long but it has been completely refurbished by us and all missing parts replaced with new. It is 230V 50Hz, like new and guaranteed.
